I worked on the cutting edge of education, management consultancy, training and information technology in the field of development co-operation abroad and in the Netherlands.

I aimed at empowering people and organisations, enlarging transparency in organisations and reducing unnecessary complexity.

Core activities
● supporting ministries, educational organisations, boards and management on decentralisation and strengthening of autonomy;
● developing support structures and programs for professionalisation of educational leaders and institutional strengthening;
● consulting for (local) governments and educational authorities on the development of educational management information systems (EMIS);
● redesigning of education as a consequence of ICT developments;
● fact-finding, feasibility studies, evaluation (mid-term, end) and backstopping missions.

● National planning for the use of ICT in education.

Advisory position
● Member of the Advisory Board of the International Network of Principals' Centers at Harvard Graduate School of Education. Annual conversations in New York, Montreal, Washington, Miami, New Orleans, College Station (Texas), San Francisco, Sitka (Alaska).

● EMD: LEAD-link project Sub-Saharan Africa: Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia (4.5 years)
● EMD: Support to the development of a national system for EMD in Tanzania;
● ELMAVI project Vietnam (4.5 years) - New Masters in Educational Leadership Management and Administration for 5 Universities;
● EMIS: Design of a new EMIS (national level) in Suriname and in Tanzania;
● EMIS: Teacher Training Information System in Egypt;
● ICT in education: National plan for using ICT to foster change in education in Suriname Tanzania and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
